The Columba Restaurant has a 3 course table d'hote menu at £ 20.50 which rivals the choice available in many a la carte menus. It offers a choice of 5 starters and 7 main courses and is designed to take advantage of fresh produce available to us from that days markets. The Taste of Scotland guide describes it as "Modern Scottish cooking...which makes imaginative use of the excellent local produce". It is generally essential to book a table in the restaurant at weekends and during the Summer months.

Scottish Food

It is our philosophy to use as much fresh local produce as we can. This is for the very simple reason that it is of world class quality.

Scotland is rightly well known for it's Beef, Lamb, Fish and Game. However, not many people realise that Scottish Cheeses have beaten even the French in International competition.WE are particularly proud of our cheeseboard and believe that if you have never really sampled Scottish Cheeses - you should try it.

Tarbert's fishing industry is still very important to the local economy. The Prawns (Langoustines) and Scallops caught locally are of a particularly good quality and are frequently seen on our Specials Board, and on our Bar Menu.

Loch Fyne has long been famous for it's kippers but nowadays there is a vast variety of fish and meat smoked locally and used by us every day.

Taste of ScotlandWe are also members of the TASTE OF SCOTLAND sceme which means that we are inspected every each year for the quality of our food and our commitment to Scottish Produce..Taste of Scotland is widely acknowledged as the best food scheme of it's kind in Europe.
