Scottish Food It is our philosophy to use as much fresh local produce as we can.This is for the very simple reason that it is of world class quality. Scotland is rightly well known for it's Beef, Lamb, Fish and Game. However, not many people realise that Scottish Cheeses have beaten even the French in International competition.WE are particularly proud of our cheeseboard and believe that if you have never really sampled Scottish Cheeses - you should try it. Tarbert's fishing industry is still very important to the local economy. The Prawns (Langoustines) and Scallops caught locally are of a particularly good quality and are frequently seen on our Specials Board, and on our Bar Menu. Loch Fyne has long been famous for it's kippers but nowadays there is a vast variety of fish and meat smoked locally and used by us every day.
